With the fast approach of the holidays, we tend to look back over the year(s) and wish that we had spent more time with an elderly parent or friend. Memories of passing the time sharing stories, playing games, and yes, the family recipe for apple pie. But these day, we are all too busy to travel, and many are not able to travel due to health reasons. Some families are determining to make the most of their time left together by moving a family member closer to them. Sometimes the reason is for better care, and sometimes the reason is just to have their loved one closer for more frequent visits. MEDTransport Center offers a means of making those wishes come true. By ground, we offer safe, comfortable, and affordable travel in our motorhomes, which have been converted for medical transportation. With a nurse as a companion during the travel time, the family and their loved one, can rest, relax, and anticipate their reunion with confidence knowing that they are getting the best possible care. Making the decision to travel by MED Coach was an easy one. I spoke to the office staff who are so caring and friendly. They really listened to me when I talked about my dad’s condition. We agreed, that since he was being discharged, and that the doctor was releasing him for air travel, he must be well enough to make the trip. However, after further research on the internet looking for medical transportation and a conversation with the trip coordinator, I realized that traveling by commercial airlines would just be too hard on dad. Traveling by ground in a large medically configured coach might be a whole lot easier. The MED Coach offered, privacy, one on one attention from a private nurse, and the chance for dad to relax, recline, and sleep during the trip home. The drivers on the MED Coach even agreed to stop on the way at one of dad’s favorite restaurants – Dairy Queen! The smile on his face when they let him order whatever he wanted was priceless. Dad still talks about the wonderful care he received and the friends he made on his trip home with MED Coach. Thank you for this wonderful service.
