Step-by-Step Procedure  for Medical Transportation

1. Request for transport; In coming request; Transport Coordinator obtains basic patient medical information, completes request form and answers caller’s questions.
   
   
2. Origination : Location of patient: name of hospital, and address (e.g., city, state and/or country) ready
   
   
3. Destination: where patient is to be transported 
   e.g., name of facility / hospital and address.
   
   
4. Patient : date of Birth
   
   
5.  Date of transport
   
   
6. Price:  The air ambulance price is all-inclusive; ground  transportation in both cities included
   
   
7. Contract and Payment options discussed 
   
   
8. Call for Medical Report, Clearance to fly A medical professional will get a full medical report from the attending facility prior to transport and  obtain medical clearance to fly
   
   
9. Passengers:  1-to-2 family members may travel at no additional charge with approval of Dir of OPS. and medical desk.
   
   
10. Ground Transport:  Transport Coordinators will make all ground transportation arrangements.
    
    
11. Luggage:  2 carry-on size pieces are allowed
    
    
12. Arrange for additional luggage to be shipped
    
    
13. Transport Begins: Patient Departure from facility with ground ambulance and medical team.
    
    
14. Arrival at airport with the aircraft waiting. Patient is secured on an FAA approved stretcher. Monitors, Meds etc set up
    
    
15. In-Flight, flight coordinators track flight and provide updated time of arrival (ETA) and patient’s condition to relatives, the  arriving facility and ground vehicles/ ambulance
    
    
16. In-flight food: special dietary needs arranged as needed for long flights.
    
    
17. Destination: ground transportation/ ambulance and crew meet aircraft at local FBO and patient is transported to receiving facility.
    
    
18. Completion: Family members, facility and  parties involved are notified of patient’s arrival by coordinator
